Microsoft is Macro-stupid!

It floors me to no end that the folks at Microsoft and their new agency of record, Crispin Porter, can’t seem to get it right.

First they hire a tired forgotten comedian, Jerry Seinfeld and plop him into a commercial with the ever charismatic, Bill Gates to try and revitalize at stogy old brand that is suffering from a complete lack of evolution in the last decade. They of course over look the fact the Jerry Seinfeld actually used a Macintosh in his apartment in the show.

Now it has been found that Crispin was using Macintoshes to do the creative for the last round of ads featuring their version of “I am a PC“.

What’s the problem here. Does “PC” stand for “Permanently Crazy”. You would think that written into the 300 million dollar contract would be, under no circumstances will you use Macintoshes or any software that has a comparable product available from Microsoft. I mean come on, the web eats this shit up.

Just face the facts Vista just sucks and no amount of ad money a change that fact. Here’s a though Microsoft, spend the 300 Million and begin to create a piece of software that is innovative and not a poor facsimile.

Then again, would you trust these guys to create the “next big thing”?
