With just over 2 weeks until the Federal Election the Conservative are right on track at 38% for another Minority government. This will be the third general election in 4 years to produce such a government. Remember when Harper said in the last election that he would fix the election date. What happened to the promise?
But, here we are again in the midst of another 100+ Million dollar election to put us right back where we started. I think I have a solution. If you don’t win a majority when you call an election while a minority government sits in the house, you forfeit your power to govern and the coalition takes over.
Vote Harper out now for wasting taxpayers money and putting on hold the real issues like the collapse of the economy, the environment, war, healthcare, and the canadian agenda.

Fixed Election Dates are too American, the current constitutional rule is that the government must call an election every five years.
Almost any government who has called an election earlier than four years has lost it except for Dief the Chief and we all know the disaster he created during his majority.
Voting is as simple as ABC “Anything But Conservative” I hope he loses a bunch of seats and then he will have to work with the Liberals or NDP to hold onto power. If Harper sides with the Bloc, he will lose the next election. This would burn Harper and his Americanization of Canada.
Hope Obama wins and we get someone who will not work Harper

WOW! both of these responses hit the nail right in the coffin! I am so pleased to see that many of us are actually very educated about the issues and how politics works! I also hope Obama wins for the reasons stated by you Mark and I’m sure many Canadians also feels this way as we all want to keep our Canadian identity apart from American culture as that is what makes us Canadian. I believe that no matter what happens, no matter how we vote, as long as we all know and think about what Mark put quite simply:
A B C = “Anything But Conservative”
Thank you for allowing a young voter like me get some reassurance that voting can ACTUALLY make a difference
